Tomorrow....It All Begins

As all of you know, tomorrow is the beginning of the Germany 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup!!! Can you believe its finally here? It feels like just yesterday when they announced the groups, or when they started the 100 day countdown. My fellow fans, it all begins tomorrow. The long wait will FINALLY be over. Its almost sad, because part of the fun of a World Cup is anticipating it, feeling the excitement grow every day, until it rises into a fever pitch, like it has in the past week. You can tell its here when everyone is buzzing about it, articles and videos and promos and commercials everywhere! What we've been waiting for has come. Women's Soccer fans, our time is now! This summer, the spotlight is on our sport. I hope the ladies representing their teams in the tournament show the World how much the sport has grown, and just how entertaining it can be. All eyes are on Germany. I am confident the teams will deliver and show the world how special Women's Soccer is. Tomorrow kicks off the action with Group A, with France vs. Nigeria at 8:45 am ET, and then later, hosts Germany face off against Canada at 11:45 am ET. All of the fans around the world are as eager as ever for tomorrow to arrive. I wish every player in the tournament luck and good health throughout the tournament. I'm confident that the players and teams will make the fans proud, and will do the sport justice.

Its been too long

Hello everyone, I must say I sincerely apologize for how long I was away. It was a little over a month since I last reported, and I'm honestly a little ashamed. However, nanaging a blog becomes difficult when there are so many other things going on. Everyday obligations, things popping up, and just general forgetfulness. We are halfway through the season and I have YET to post a WPS Week Review...that's embarrassing. Hopefully if I get my act together I will be covering it for the last half. Also, I didn't cover the USWNT and their send-off, which I actually attended. I've dropped the ball folks and I know it. Since there is so much stuff I've missed out on I'll try making a video for my youtube page and I'll upload it. I'll just talk about some stuff I missed, to catch us up and discuss some smaller things happening in the Women's Soccer world. Once again, sorry all! I will try being more diligent!
