Big News

Hey everyone, I know I've been a bit behind, but lately I've been busy with a lot of different stuff. Here's some quick updates:

USWNT- The USA qualified for Germany 2011, and was the last team to do so when they beat Italy 1-0 in Chicago. A-Rod's goal lifted the USA to a 2-0 aggregate, and helped them clinch the 16th and final berth.

Germany 2011 Women's World Cup Draw- Earlier today, the groups were drawn for the WWC. Here are the groups:

Group A- Germany
Canada
Nigeria
France

Group B- Japan
Mexico
New Zealand
England

Group C- USA
North Korea
Colombia
Sweden

Group D- Brazil
Australia
Norway
Equatorial Guinea

These groups are looking pretty good, and by the looks of it, I bet we're in for a fantastic World Cup!

The official dates and venues were released as well, as long as the design of the official match ball. It was recently announced that over 350,000 tickets have been sold for the tournament. In the near future, I'll be giving reviews on each group, and I'll also cover the progress and news of the WWC more in depth.

See you again soon!

Denise
